| It's a very calm book, about a boy who loves animals! He wants a pet, but his pop wouldn't let him. Three-toes, a timber wolf, looks for the right den. In hope that her pups will be safe. The pup's father, Ring, gets killed from an attack by Wolf, the wolf-dog Travis (the boy) finds.
